My name's Julian Beltran, and I make up Laser Dot Productions' one-man-show.
It all started when I was little, I wanted to be a painter. My parents obliged me and bought me cheap paints and cherished my artwork hanging on the fridge. Then I got a little older and I decided I wanted to move to Japan and create anime. My parents obliged me and bought me books to learn Japanese. Then I got a little older and accepted the fact that I had almost no talent for drawing, and even less for learning Japanese. Luckily, I discovered I could also tell stories with a video camera, so my parents obliged me and let me have free reign of the family mini DV camcorder. The point of this story is that my parents were far too supportive and should have pushed me to be an engineer or something.
Now I have an insatiable passion for telling stories with a camera and I only have my parents to blame.
In short, I'm a filmmaker based in Texas with an incurable need for exploring. I always have my camera and passport in hand ready to begin an adventure.
